508(c) Compliance Statement

Docuseek2 recognizes its responsibility to provide a web site and streaming content that are accessible and usable by all people, including those with disabilities.

We are committed to making our products and services compliant with the Section 508 Standards for Electronic and Information Technology and the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.0 Level A and AA, as published by the Web Accessibility Initiative of the World Wide Web Consortium.

In accordance with Section 508(c), we are in an ongoing process of ensuring that Docuseek2's content and services comply with the applicable accessibility standards to the maximum extent practicable. We support the efforts of the federal and state governments to make electronic information products and web based products accessible to the public.

Closed captioning
Docuseek2 does not produce the content available for streaming at docuseek2.com. While many of the films streaming on Docuseek2 are closed captioned (about 417 titles as of 3/27/2018), and more than half are either closed-captioned, subtitled or have no dialog, unfortunately not all of the films are captioned or subtitled at this time. We are making an effort to add captioning to titles that are not subtitled or already have captions or transcripts. The Advanced Search page includes a search option for closed-captioned, and an option for subtitled. Click here for a list of the closed-captioned titles.

Current state
In August, 2017, we did a complete inventory of the docuseek2.com accessibility state. We have determined that a few third-party tools and widgets are not compliant:
  • The Wow Slider image carousel widget on the home page violates keyboard event guidelines. We cannot work around this. We are in the process of assessing the importance of this component on the home page.
  • The Facebook widget has some issues with link text that is duplicated or not descriptive), and images in the widget are missing roles.
  • The Twitter widget has similar issues.
  • Some titles display a Vimeo preview if the user is not logged in. The Vimeo iframe uses landmarks that conflict with Docuseek2 landmarks.
